http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1096804 Bug ID: 1096804 Summary: Provide zsync files for Live ISO images Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE.org Version: unspecified Hardware: Other OS: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: OBS Request Assignee: mrueckert@suse.com Reporter: probono@puredarwin.org QA Contact: adrian@suse.com Found By: --- Blocker: --- Please upload zsync files for KIWI Images (such as Live ISOs), this way one could easily update e.g., from the previous to the current Tumbleweed ISO without having to re-download the entire image, but only the blocks that have actually changed. Ubuntu has been using zsync for this purpose since many years. User Story: I as a Live ISO user am running openSUSE-Tumbleweed-KDE-Live-x86_64-Snapshot20180530-Media.iso and I would like to "upgrade" to the latest one, openSUSE-Tumbleweed-KDE-Live-x86_64-Snapshot20180606-Media.iso. If there was a .zsync file available at https://download.opensuse.org/tumbleweed/iso/, I would have to download only a few MB. (Since there is none available today, I need to re-download the full ISO image.)
