In factory, there is currently rsyslog-7.2.5-1.1, which contains these fixes: * Mi Jan 09 2013 mt@suse.com - Enable rsyslog.service and create the syslog.service alias link in post install -- regardless of a preset config (bnc#790805). - Check the existence of /etc/init.d/syslog script before calling the restart_on_update and stop_on_removal macros to avoid errors on update. Since openSUSE 12.3, no syslog init script is shipped (bnc#790298,bnc#750478). As above is a rsyslog-7.2.4-1.2 installed, it may still not contain the fixes / still call the old macro. Further, make sure, that you've had all 12.2 updates installed before: * Do Jan 10 2013 mt@suse.com - Check the existence of /etc/init.d/syslog script before calling the restart_on_update and stop_on_removal macros to avoid errors on update, reset the SYSLOG_DAEMON variable on removal only. Since openSUSE 12.3, the syslog init script is not shipped any more (bnc#790298,bnc#750478). *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 790298 *** http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=790298 -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
