https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=251365 Summary: Default installation of KDE desktop fails to download files from 'additional sources' as setup by installation - because of set timeout parameters. Product: openSUSE 10.2 Version: Final Platform: i586 OS/Version: SuSE Other Status: NEW Severity: Major Priority: P5 - None Component: Installation AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: alpha096@tpg.com.au QAContact: jsrain@novell.com Towards the end of installation the First online update source is established by notification from Novell server - it would appear. After Installation of pending online update files a second installation source is attempted to be added in the form of an installation suppository. In this particular instance, time-outs were experiences multiple times and do NOT appear to relate to comms redundancy failure or lookup failure - The abort of such a download appears to comply with the limitations imposed on file download time constraints found in right click ZMD updater. Again as with 10.1 - timeouts - please comment on the place of an application dictating to comms redundancy -Drop or NOACK with a set time frame.
