Unfortunately (not for me ;-) I will be on vacation until 4th of December. If you need to repartition the disk for any reason before I am back, please attach the content of the following command before repartitioning the disk: parted /dev/sda unit co print unit s print This should display exact cylinder and sector wise partitioning information and should be helpful to recreate your scenario on another disk.
