Well, Vincent, blush!!! yes, I have the "Receive Files" button too :-(
Contrary to my general curiosity I did not venture to click it, as I misinterpreted it as actively inducing a file transfer. Maybe it should be rechristened to something more obvious, like "File Transfer Options" or so.
That'd make the buttons way too big, and that's a change that won't happen in openSUSE now anyway, as the UI changed completely for GNOME 3.
As for "that's how bluetooth works" I am not with you. Making the notebook "visible" should at least make it visible _and_ list potentially available services, no matter wether file sharing is enabled or not.
But listing a service that will not work (because file sharing is disabled) doesn't make sense since... it will not work :-) It seems to me that you're asking for file sharing to be enabled by default. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
