https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=347550 Summary: After update to factory zypper won't add repos Product: openSUSE 11.0 Version: unspecified Platform: i686 OS/Version: openSUSE 11.0 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: libzypp AssignedTo: dmacvicar@novell.com ReportedBy: rccj@ricreig.com QAContact: dmacvicar@novell.com Found By: Beta-Customer I added a couple of repos after installation of Alpha 0 and loaded VLC and a few other programs. Then I added the 'Factory' repo and did an udate of 'everything' from that repo. Later I tried to add Packman repo and I kept getting 'Signal 11' from Yast. I then went to CLI and tried to use zypper. It "said" it was refreshing everything but when I attempted to add Packman, it neither added it nor did it report an error. I then went into /var and deleted the cache and rebuilt it but still, neither yast nor zypper would add Packman. So, I went to /etc and deleted everything related to the source locations and of course, both Yast and zypper refreshed to empty, as expected. Then I tried to add repos back again, and none of them would come back. SO, I went to SMART and regressed to an older version (the one on the Alpha 0 CD) and voila, suddenly, both Yast2 and zypper again knew how to add repos. So, whatever version of Xypper is in the FACTORY repo as of Monday night 10 Dec, has a problem and regressing to the CD version fixed it for me. NO LOGS available as another bug forced me to reinstall. The kernel update caused me to lose networking completely, but that is another bug!!! -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
