https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=811271 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=811271#c2 --- Comment #2 from Peter Butler <pbutler@magma.ca> 2013-03-26 20:50:01 UTC --- Given the fact that it appears like the kernel never even gets a chance to execute (the reboot is triggered instantly as soon as the bootloader has loaded it 100% into memory), I have a strong hunch that it has something to do with the EFI capabilities (or requirements??) of the boot/installation process. I was poking around the 12.3 installer ISO and everything appears to be EFI-enabled... The system in question (where I am having the issue) is the only one of my 4 systems that is not a UEFI machine (it is just standard BIOS/MBR), and it also happens to be the only one that exhibits the problem at hand. Not just a coincidence methinkst.... Also, 12.3 appears to be the first release geared largely towards EFI systems. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
