It perhaps is not of utf8 kind. I see: $ true & [1] 11209 [1]+ Dokon ena true instead of: [1] 11209 [1]+ Dokončena true When I run something like: xterm -font -*-fixed-medium-r-*-*-12-*-*-*-*-*-iso10646-* it works OK. (Except the font is not the one I'm used to.) I don't know if this is a regression, I switched to KDE from XFCE today. (Few weeks ago I switched from GNOME to XFCE.) In both of them xterm worked perfectly. xfontsel says: Warning: app-defaults file not properly installed. And nothing more. Also xfontsel doesn't show the sample string... I don't know if this is related. Note that I switched also from gdm to kdm. So perhaps some of my ancient configs are not sucked anymore?
