There are now two patches that would include all remaining apple laptop models: http://lkml.org/lkml/2010/3/9/418 and http://lkml.org/lkml/2010/3/10/126 Also, I believe the proper branch is Richard Purdie's linux-rpurdie-backlight branch: http://git.o-hand.com/cgit.cgi/linux-rpurdie-backlight/ but my patch still hasn't been committed :( I'll keep searching through git logs and let you know if/when it gets committed.
