http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=617537 http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=617537#c0 Summary: Installing KDE LiveCD creates a user called "linux" with UID 999 Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.3 Version: Factory Platform: Other OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Live Medium AssignedTo: coolo@novell.com ReportedBy: sven.burmeister@gmx.net QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux x86_64; de; rv:1.9.2.4) Gecko/20100527 SUSE/3.6.4-2.2 Firefox/3.6.4 After I installed the KDE live cd (build 676) I found that my user list contained a user called "linux" with UID 999. I did not create that user and IMHO it should not be created without the knowledge of the user since he does not know which password it has or where it came from. If it is necessary for the installation it should be deleted afterwards.
