Updated openSUSE from 12.1 to 12.2 according to official upgrade guide. After upgrade speakers do not get muted when I plug headphones, instead sound comes from speakers and headphones simultaneously. To mute speakers I have to manually switch Audio Devices → Port in pavucontrol. And if I unplug headphones in this case, I then have to switch the port again to get sound from speakers. Very annoying. Hardware info: Dell XPS l702x laptop Audio codec: Realtek ALC664 alsa-info.sh output is attached and also made available online at http://pastebin.com/3xszfiVy
Tried to specify 'options snd-hda-intel model=auto' but to no avail. I will provide any additional information if needed
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce: 1. Start some sound stream (e.g. song in music player) 2. Plug headphones
Actual Results: Sound is emitted both from speakers and from headphones
Expected Results: Speakers should have been muted and sound would be emitted from headphones.
Okay, I resolved the problem. It's quite simple: run alsamixer, select correct soundcard and tick Auto-Mute Mode to "Enabled" instead of "Disabled". So the bug actually is - after update Auto-Mute mode setting somehow changed without apparent reason. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
