https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=227765 Summary: CPUFREQ PROBLEM WITH CORE DUO T2400 CPU SCALING Product: openSUSE 10.2 Version: Final Platform: 32bit OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Blocker Priority: P5 - None Component: Kernel AssignedTo: kernel-maintainers@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: jarig@o2.pl QAContact: qa@suse.de Hi, I have just installed new openSUSE 10.2 and i`m having problems with performance. My machine is hp nx7400 with core duo t2400 cpu. THe problem is that many times there is no way to set both cpus to the 1.83GHz no metter to governor type or cpu usage. Basicly the frequency is almost always set to 1ghz up to 1.33ghz instead of 1.83 as it should be. Same problem was with 10.1 version but the solution was to stop powersaved deamon. But In 10.2 it doesn`t make any changes- the frequency is still between 1ghz and 1.33ghz. I`ve been also trying to change cpu settings in /sys dir by changing scaling-max-freq to 1833000 without any result as it always go back to 1000000.
