https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=222523 Summary: Resume from disk sometimes kills the HAL daemon Product: openSUSE 10.2 Version: Beta 2 Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Major Priority: P5 - None Component: Other AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: amantia@kde.org QAContact: qa@suse.de Since I have Beta2 I experience from time to time that hal is not running (see bug #220912 and #220558 for what this causes) after I start my computer. I always use suspend2disk, but sometimes I suspend via kpowersave, other time from the KDE suse menu or via the logout kicker applet. The problem doesn't seem to happen always and might - altough I'm not sure - depend on the way I suspend it. The system log for the resume period is the here. The only reference to hal is that powersave complains about it being stopped. Nov 19 10:03:34 stein syslog-ng[30588]: STATS: dropped 0 Nov 19 10:03:33 stein kernel: Freezing cpus ...
