If I run "xev" I get the following output when I press the lower case "o": KeymapNotify event, serial 30, synthetic NO, window 0x0, keys: 82 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 with another key the following output: KeyPress event, serial 30, synthetic NO, window 0x4400001, root 0x52, subw 0x0, time 566182461, (-254,-171), root:(677,380), state 0x10, keycode 33 (keysym 0x70, p), same_screen YES, XLookupString gives 1 bytes: (70) "p" XmbLookupString gives 1 bytes: (70) "p" XFilterEvent returns: False KeyRelease event, serial 30, synthetic NO, window 0x4400001, root 0x52, subw 0x0, time 566182595, (-254,-171), root:(677,380), state 0x10, keycode 33 (keysym 0x70, p), same_screen YES, XLookupString gives 1 bytes: (70) "p" XFilterEvent returns: False With any other desktop eg: E17, xfce all is OK. Console all ok All is OK in GDM prior to the desktop loading.
