https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=256291 ------- Comment #2 from kibana@gmail.com 2007-06-07 04:18 MST ------- I also wondered myself why this was not thought at the first place. This would not at all work for anyone who works only in wireless environment which is encrypted. It will be activated only once user logs in the graphical environment. Or for someone whose home is not a local partition. Anyway, I think more elegant way to circumvent this one is to put the custom script in /etc/NetworkManager/dispatcher.d as one knows which interface has come up as an argument to the script and hence can bring up particular shares depending on say one is in office or at home. This would gurantee proper mounting of shares after suspend/resume too and would not require to restart rcnfs. I am not very familiar with ntpd stuff so cann't comment much. Let's hope this is fixed at the earliest possibility. By the way, it also raises the question (just because of lack of my knowledge) what purpose does the yast configuration of wirless serve with all those encryption settings when it is not used at all at boot time by networkmanager to automatically bring the interface up? -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
