In recent times that driver is created on the fly, and kernel module is included in initrd using makeinitrd. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- After system installation I had only /dev/sda2 with repair system. There was no /dev/sda1 with actual Windows installation. I updated system, as usually, and rebooted. Problem with Vista was not solved. It was fixed after manually mounting /dev/sda1 and running YaST bootloader, as recommended in forums: https://forums.opensuse.org/english/get-technical-help-here/install-boot-log... ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Next was Nvidia graphics driver installation, that spoiled boot menu again. I mounted /dev/sda1 and run mkinitrd. That fixed a problem again. In other words whole a lot of installation and updates can end with Windows responding with repair mode which can paint (open)SUSE in not so favorable light. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
