However, I had a bit of difficulty complying, because (1) I'm missing some needed debugging rpms, and perhaps more troubling (2) I'm getting what seems to be different behavior. On a side note, (3) I was trying to access samba as a client (normally I don't use samba at all) but no longer wish to do this, and attempted to disable this. Could it be that samba access is still being (inappropriately) attempted? Because of how the inclusion of debugging info appears to mask the bug as described in (2), in the past when that has happened in my own code, it was often caused by references to uninitialized memory (the relocation of the data in memory changed the values read). I now get a popup window stating the following (instead of a crash): "Error saving the document xxx: Object not accessible. The object cannot be accessed due to insufficient user rights.", where xxx is the basename of the file without the .doc extension (I'm trying to save as a Windows 97/2000/2003 file). However checking the directory path and the file, I appear to have rwx permission, so I'm not sure why I get this. Interestingly, I created a new document and could save it without issue in the same directory as a .doc file. Regarding (1) and (2) please see the information in trace1.log (found in the attached tar bundle, traces.tgz) containing the gdb trace and then the follow up zypper attempt to apply the debugging rpms listed as missing. Please note that were many other debugging rpms that successfully applied in an earlier attempt. Regarding Issue (3) please see trace2.log (found in the attached tar bundle traces.tgz), where I saved the new object but could save the preexisting file. This has some samba messages in it, I exited the soffice.bin normally (hence the return of control to gdb), without experiencing a crash. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
