My question was only for testing to figure out the cause of the noise. About the LED: does change the LED with the command below? hda-verb /dev/snd/hwC0D0 0x10 SET_EAPD 0x00 hda-verb /dev/snd/hwC0D0 0x10 SET_EAPD 0x02 Note that this my turn on/off the sound (either or both of headphone/speaker outputs), too.
