https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=438833 Summary: Bootloader installed despite being deselected Product: openSUSE 11.1 Version: Beta 3 Platform: i686 OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Major Priority: P5 - None Component: YaST2 AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: radomir.cernoch@gmail.com QAContact: jsrain@novell.com Found By: Community User During the installation of openSUSE 11.1 Beta 3 I have unchecked all checkboxes titled "Boot from [Boot partition|Extended partition|...]". Moreover I have selected "Do Not Install Any Bootloader" from the list of available bootloaders. Despite of this settings, my original bootloader has been overwritten. However, my configuration of fstab is a bit special. The disk is shared between openSUSE 10.3 and 11.1. The 10.3's fstab is: /dev/sda5 / ext3 commit=600 1 1 /dev/sda1 /boot ext3 defaults 1 1 And the 11.1's fstab is: /dev/sda3 / ext3 acl,user_xattr 1 1 /dev/sda1 /boot ext3 defaults 1 2 (The shared /boot partition is caused by former installation of openSUSE on LVM.) -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
