https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=237489 ------- Comment #3 from andreas.schaefer@madplanet.com 2007-01-23 21:57 MST ------- I am sorry but somehow my internal DVD drive stopped working and SuSE rejects any USB drive therefore I cannot reproduce the problem nor save the y2logs. I attached the boot.msg file which I got when booting SuSE 10.2 on an internal IDE hard disk. As you can see the 'sata_nv' driver does berserk: <7>sata_nv 0000:00:0d.0: version 2.0 <7>PCI: Setting latency timer of device 0000:00:0d.0 to 64 <6>ata1: SATA max UDMA/133 cmd 0x9F0 ctl 0xBF2 bmdma 0xDC00 irq 161 <6>ata2: SATA max UDMA/133 cmd 0x970 ctl 0xB72 bmdma 0xDC08 irq 161 <3>sata_nv 0000:00:0d.0: irq 161 request failed: -38 Even though I could successfully boot SuSE 10.2 the system is not showing any USB drives (DVD drive as well as a hard disks). As soon as I have a working IDE DVD I will try to save the y2logs and attach to this bug report.
