https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=210963 Summary: Lookup doesn't work if firewall is enabled Product: SUSE Linux 10.1 Version: Final Platform: Other OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: YaST2 AssignedTo: mzugec@novell.com ReportedBy: mzugec@novell.com QAContact: jsrain@novell.com Lookup doesn't work if firewall is enabled. YaST still tries to look it up but it obviously fails. No message is reported that it is because of running firewall. Never change a firewall configuration on your own. You can: a.) Try to lookup and if it returns nothing and there is some firewall running, report error, that it might be bacause of running error. b.) When user selects to lookup, open-up a pop-up and ask them whether they want to lookup the server despite the fact that a firewall is running and might block the broadcast traffic. c.) Disable the lookup button in case of running firewall and then write this eventuality to help. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
