http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1175846 Bug ID: 1175846 Summary: "Old" version of btrfsprogs in Leap 15.2 Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE Distribution Version: Leap 15.2 Hardware: Other OS: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Basesystem Assignee: screening-team-bugs@suse.de Reporter: mike.ressler@alum.mit.edu QA Contact: qa-bugs@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- My apologies if this issue has been discussed to death elsewhere, but I did not see it after searching on bugzilla. Feel free to tell me to get lost if so. On a reddit discussion, it was pointed out that Leap 15.2 ships btrfsprogs-4.19 while the kernel is at 5.3. From lurking on the btrfs dev mailing list, I know that the usual mantra is that btrfsprogs should match the kernel (or newer), but I also know that many of you _are_ the devs that have been saying this. Is this an issue for Leap, or have new btrfsprogs features/fixes been backported so that the necessary updates for 5.3 are included? I do know there was a btrfsprogs-5.3 release, so I find this situation a bit curious. Thank you. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
