The ghostscript functionality is not installed by default to avoid security issues, see bug 1122797
You can install "okular-spectre" manually to get the preview to work.
I wonder whether we can (or even should?) show a dialog if this case is detected.
I believe this information should be made available via the interface.
Also Fabian please correct me if I am wrong, but if ghostscript support was removed for security reasons, would installing okular-spectre bring back those security issues?
