AFAIS there is not such a limitation in libstorage-ng.
You are right. My memory messed up things. The only limitation "imposed" by libstorage-ng regarding advanced subvolume handling (which YaST cannot perform anyways) is the mount options, which right now are enforced to always be subvol=whatever_path.
