https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=821879 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=821879#c12 --- Comment #12 from Robert Milasan <rmilasan@suse.com> 2013-05-28 11:39:19 UTC --- OK, after some investigation looks like (at least to me) that there is a 'remove' event, but not an 'add|change' event from kernel to udev. The other weird part is that eth0 never really goes away, meaning it looks active, usually if you do: 'ifconfig eth0 down' then run only 'ifconfig' doesn't show 'eth0', but in our case it's always there without of course an ip address as dhcpcd is not running. Also, this can be reproduced in Virtualbox by installing normal openSUSE 12.3 machine and using ifup/ifdown instead of NetworkManager, but in Virtualbox you can restart the network without any actual errors. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
