https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=233758 Summary: install to softraid fails using ext3 as fs Product: openSUSE 10.2 Version: Final Platform: i386 OS/Version: SuSE Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Installation AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: seuchato@yahoo.de QAContact: jsrain@novell.com I use ia86 32 bit dvd on a box where i previously installed 10.1 frm c't dvd successfully. I try to install on soft raid md0, but that fails. I get a " no os installed" message. When I look at the mbr's on grub does not seem to be there. On the 10.1 install I used reiserfs, while I initially used ext3 on the 10.2. I tried again 10.1 with ext3 to upgrade it later on and it fails too! Encouraged by this post: http://www.suseforums.net/lofiversion/index.php/t29139.html I tried reiserfs with 10.2 and that works. So my guess is: softraid, grub and ext3 do have a problem. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
