https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=811550 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=811550#c0 Summary: Autologin and passwordless login options don't work (KDE control center) Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 12.3 Version: Final Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: SUSE Other Status: NEW Severity: Major Priority: P5 - None Component: KDE4 Workspace AssignedTo: kde-maintainers@suse.de ReportedBy: mike.catanzaro@gmail.com QAContact: qa-bugs@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:19.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/19.0 Under Configure Desktop -> Login Screen -> Convenience, the options "Enable Auto-Login" and "Enable Password-Less Logins" seem completely nonfunctional. This functionality also exists in YaST2 -> User and Group Administration -> Expert Options (in the lower right) -> Login Settings. At least the YaST autologin option works perfectly. But these settings are out of sync with the KDE settings. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. I did a fresh install of 12.3 with the KDE live cd, and did NOT check "enable login" during the install. 2. Try to enable autologin from Configure Desktop (KDE control panel)... doesn't work. 3. Try to enable autologin from YaST, does work. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
