https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=691103 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=691103#c0 Summary: after sound announces system is up, kde appears locked for 20-30 seconds, then clock starts ticking again. Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.4 Version: Factory Platform: 64bit OS/Version: openSUSE 11.4 Status: NEW Severity: Minor Priority: P5 - None Component: YaST2 AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: WeedMIC@gmail.com QAContact: jsrain@novell.com Found By: --- Blocker: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:2.0.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/4.0 I found this was caused right after I had set ntp in yast to be in rootjail. Once I removed it from rootjail, it worked properly. I don't think it should lock up the system just b/c it is in rootjail. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.set ntp to rootjail 2. 3. Actual Results: set ntp to rootjail logout and login Expected Results: system appears locked (you can accelerate the lock by moving the mouse) the ntp should have checked the time in rootjail without the user ever knowing it was happening. If this is not possible, then add a note near the option stating this will happen so people don't think the computer is broken and go to reinstall it from scratch or something drastic. I put it as minor, I mean how many people would try it? -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
