https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=418782 Summary: KVM does not boot openSUSE VM Product: openSUSE 11.0 Version: Final Platform: Other OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Major Priority: P5 - None Component: Other AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: michael.monreal@gmail.com QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- First let me say I use openSUSE 11.0 with the latest official kernel update. There has never been any official update to KVM, so I'm forced to use the KVM from http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/Virtualization:/KVM/openSUSE_11.0/ The problem: I installed openSUSE 11.1 alpha1 from ISO today. The installation went smooth but I cannot boot the resulting image. It prints "Booting from hard disk..." and then just sits there with one Core maxed out. Looks like it cannot start grub? This is strange... I have a winxp image, which starts fine using this KVM setup. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
