https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=263819 Summary: default grub entry is unable to boot Product: openSUSE 10.3 Version: Alpha 3 Platform: Other OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Critical Priority: P5 - None Component: Installation AssignedTo: yast2-maintainers@suse.de ReportedBy: mmrazik@novell.com QAContact: jsrain@novell.com I was updating openSUSE 10.2 (with all online updates) to 10.3 alpha3. My default entry in /boot/grub/menu.lst was "Kernel-2.6.18.8-0.1-default". This entry was added and made default by the online updater. I did not change menu.lst by hand. After update /boot/vmlinuz-2.6.18.8-0.1-default does not exists but its still the default entry. Thus my system is unable to boot. I'm able to boot with the first entry in menu.lst menu.lst and y2logs attached. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
