https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=402545 Summary: Making pin easier to read on CLI if no package is installed Product: openSUSE 11.1 Version: Factory Platform: All OS/Version: All Status: NEW Severity: Enhancement Priority: P5 - None Component: Other AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: houghi@houghi.org QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- Created an attachment (id=223585) --> (https://bugzilla.novell.com/attachment.cgi?id=223585) pin improvement When pin is used on the CLI the complete packagename is shown as well before each line. e.g. /CD1/suse/noarch/apparmor-docs-2.3-24.1.noarch.rpm: Name : apparmor-docs Relocations: (not relocatable) /CD1/suse/noarch/apparmor-docs-2.3-24.1.noarch.rpm: Version : 2.3 Vendor: SUSE LINUX Products GmbH, Nuernberg, Germany /CD1/suse/noarch/apparmor-docs-2.3-24.1.noarch.rpm: Release : 24.1 Build Date: Sat Jun 7 04:36:37 2008 /CD1/suse/noarch/apparmor-docs-2.3-24.1.noarch.rpm: Install Date: (not installed) Build Host: alfano.suse.de This makes it hard to read because of the length of the filename, including the path. Tbe repeat of the complete pathname on each line is not needed as the name of the file is already given in the form of: ---> ./CD1/suse/noarch/apparmor-docs-2.3-24.1.noarch.rpm Better would be to have something like: Name : apparmor-docs Relocations: (not relocatable) Version : 2.3 Vendor: SUSE LINUX Products GmbH, Nuernberg, Germany Release : 24.1 Build Date: Sat Jun 7 04:36:37 2008 Install Date: (not installed) Build Host: alfano.suse.de On lines that contain filenmames it becomes even harder to read. Only a few lines need to be implemented. Attached a patch of how I use it. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
