Any mistake during RAID setup (e.g. RAID level, chunk size, disk order, metadata version, bitmap) can ruin your filesystem. Some of these parameters you cannot even set in YaST. Some combinations (e.g. wrong chunk size with mirroring) could even make the device appear to have a valid filesystem since the superblock is fine but the rest is broken.
