https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=809792 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=809792#c0 Summary: Putting installer on rescue CD Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 12.3 Version: Final Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Enhancement Priority: P5 - None Component: Other AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: erwin.vandevelde@gmail.com QAContact: qa-bugs@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:19.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/19.0 The current rescue CD contains several useful tools to recover from system failure. However, every now and again rescuing a system includes reinstalling it (e.g. hard disk crash). It would be nice to have one CD that can do both, i.e. combining the network installation CD with the rescue CD. One could opt to have the network installation CD still separate if needed and just put the installer on the rescue CD too.
