By that I mean shortly after the 'interactive boot' prompt (the 5 second timeout one), I get: 1. a blank screen 2. my external keyboard stops working (microsoft natural 4000. I shall test again after removing the evdev line as described in bug 460756) 3. I can't even ssh into it and it never gets a dhcp address 4. the built-in keyboard still works, but the machine does not respond to control-alt-f1, control-alt-delete, control-alt-backspace (lots), nothing. Not even the power button triggers a shutdown, which it normally does. 5. this happens in **ALL** runlevels, including runlevel 1. This only happens when the external display is hooked up *and* the G02 drivers are installed. It happens even before /var is mounted so I have NO LOGS. The *only* way to boot this machine, is to either disconnect my external LCD or remove the G02 drivers. If the G02 drivers are installed but the external display is not hooked up, X still doesn't work right - the display is corrupted and shifted badly, despite multiple X server restarts. sigh. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
