https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=412481 Summary: Driver for printer deskjet HP 5150 missing Product: openSUSE 11.0 Version: Final Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: openSUSE 11.0 Status: NEW Severity: Major Priority: P5 - None Component: YaST2 AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: manoloudis4linux@yahoo.co.uk QAContact: jsrain@novell.com Found By: Customer I have the printer HP deskjet 5150. It's an old printer but it still works. It has been working with all versions of openSUSE 10.x It works with Centos as well as with Windows XP. After installing opensuse 11, I can't find it in yast->hardware->printer->configure->Basic Settings -> Model Name I click on change model->HP but I can't find it there. I tried the options "deskjet" and "deskjet series" but neither works. In the basic settings tab, the current connection states: usb://hp/deskjet%205100?serial=HU3BC1Y19Q98 I believe that the message above indicates that Linux can see the printer. Why can't I configure my printer to work? Do I need to install any additional packages? How is it that something that worked in the 10.x versions of opensuse, now doesn't work? -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
