I want to make yast-gtk's package selector as feature complete as yast-qt, but try to come up with a better interface. Its complex code, it needs work and time, and its a voluntary effort. There are already quite a few reports on this, so I'm closing it as duplicate. If you'd like, for the time being, to switch to yast-qt, just remove the yast-gtk package and install the yast-qt one. It will be picked up automatically (there is no problem in using yast-gtk to do it, as it will remove it from the disk, it will still be on the memory while you do it). You can also keep it installed and edit some file under /etc/sysconfig. Do a find on "yast". The file should be self descriptive. Now, if you'd like to just use yast-qt for the package manager, install yast-qt, and edit /sbin/yast2: Go to the function select_gui_frontend() and at the top, append: if [ $module == "sw_single" ]; then WANTED_GUI="qt" fi *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 287872 *** https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=287872 -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
