Most likely this is bug in the ALSA driver 'snd_intel8x0' ... Those 2 error lines from above and the fact that the snd_intel8x0 is listed on the "BrokenSoundDrivers" pulseaudio page indicate a high probability of timer based problems. To narrow this down could you try changing the "load-module module-hal-detect" line in /etc/pulse/default.pa to "load-module module-hal-detect tsched=0" and then restarting pulse and banshee. Does that clear up the problem.
