But I don't think that is because of the Nvidia proprietary driver, as I had this driver de-installed and the system was OK prior to installing the factory system via apper. Meanwhile, I have installed openSuse 12.2 and that has fixed a number of problems I had with 12.1 (especially failing resume from s2disk).
