The screen goes black, only mouse curser remains. kernel mode setting is inactive (because it is dysfunctional, no graphics screen at all). The X-server cannot be killed afterwards, a reboot cannot be avoided. Trying to kill the X-server ends in a kernel BUG (see log attached). I attached my xorg.conf, too, maybe it helps finding out the issue.
