https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=670787 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=670787#c0 Summary: YAST wrong lirc module for Hauppauge PVR cards Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.4 Version: Factory Platform: i586 OS/Version: openSUSE 11.2 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: YaST2 AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: kunsche@t-online.de QAContact: jsrain@novell.com Found By: --- Blocker: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux i686; rv:2.0b10) Gecko/20110121 Firefox/4.0b10 During the configuration of an Hauppauge PVR-350 card with YAST, the wrong lirc modules are provided in the Ifrared-control drop-down menu (ir_kbd_gpio and ir_kbd_i2c). The correct one would be lirc_i2c. A workaround is to select the correct lirc module afterward with the sysconfig editor in section Hardware/Lirc set LIRC_MODULE to lirc_i2c set LIRC_DEV_PERMISSIONS to 660 set LIRC_DRIVER to default set LIRC_DEVICE to /dev/lirc0 set LIRC_DEV_OWNER to root:video (Do not reuse the TV-configuration afterward as than the link to the correct lirc module can disappear) This is an issue at least since openSuSE 10.3 and I'm pretty sure it was already reported. But as the behaviour is still present and I couldn't find a report anymore, here it is (again ?). Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Start the YAST TV-card configuration 2.Start edit for the autodetected TV card 3.Start test with the given lirc modules (this will fail as they're the wrong ones) Actual Results: infrared control can't be configured within YAST Expected Results: A possibility to configure the lirc functionality with YAST would be nice to have. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
