The originator (of this bug report) now has their sound working on their HP2230s laptop (with openSUSE-11.1) by adding an edit to their /etc/modprobe.d/sound file. If your laptop is different, then I suspect you have a different bug, and Takashi Iwai may want you to raise a different bug report ( this bug report is assigned to him. :) ). If your laptop is the same, you could provide the follow information for Takashi: Copy and paste the following into a gnome-terminal or konsole and post here the output: rpm -qa | grep alsa rpm -qa | grep pulse rpm -q libasound2 cat /etc/modprobe.d/sound And assuming you have openSUSE-11.1, run in a gnome-terminal or konsole: /usr/sbin/alsa-info.sh --no-upload and then upload the file alsa-info.txt that is in /tmp as an attachment to a post on this thread. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
