(But in the meantime, anyone using the ATI Catalyst driver needs this fix since ATI uses those folders but incorrectly never adds those paths to its known paths in the conf, so it crashes)
The issue was that openSUSE removed the paths from /etc/ld.so.conf, and it has been me who forgot to tell Sebastian about this change, so he could adjust the packages accordingly in time, i.e. introduce a /etc/ld.so.conf.d/ati-fglrxG02.conf with the paths inside. He already did this meanwhile in git: commit 15cc06ab661445fa13f1f1c43d96ff42a25d5100 Author: Sebastian Siebert <freespacer@gmx.de> Date: Sun Nov 20 18:01:55 2011 +0100 SUSE: add search path for openSUSE 12.1 and some minor fixes - openSUSE 12.1: - add search path for dynamic libraries: /usr/X11R6/lib{,64} - change mode bits 644 => 755 for /usr/lib/* - add unsupported openSUSE 12.2 Unfortunately the current driver 11.12 does not include this change yet. Should be included in the next driver 12.12. To be released likely in about 2 weeks. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
