https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=231083 ------- Comment #9 from jsmeix@novell.com 2007-01-03 02:44 MST ------- I have another idea why you didn't get the "unsupported" message, perhaps this one is related to bug #220712. YaST may falsely automatically select the PPD for the "EPSON EPL-6200 PS3" or whatever other wrong PPD - this may also depend on which manufacturer and model strings are autodetected for your particular printer. In this case YaST won't show you the dialog where you must select the manufacturer and the model manually. If you try again, watch if YaST selects a PPD automatically and if yes, please report which PPD: After you finished YaST the actually used PPD is /etc/cups/ppd/<queue-name>.ppd - please attach it as mime type text/plain. Furthermore we need the YaST log for exactly one setup of your printer. If you try again, please provide the YaST log file as follows: 1. Have a clean state to start: Remove all your print queues in YaST and finish YaST. 2. Move the old YaST log file away: mv /var/log/YaST2/y2log /var/log/YaST2/y2log.old 3. Start YaST and do again setup your pinter. Finish YaST and save the log file: cp -p /var/log/YaST2/y2log /var/log/YaST2/y2log.save 4. Attach /var/log/YaST2/y2log.save as attachment with mime type "text plain" to this bug. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
