https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=737869 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=737869#c0 Summary: Reboot instead of system shutdown on ThinkPad T500 Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 12.1 Version: Final Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: SuSE Other Status: NEW Severity: Major Priority: P5 - None Component: Kernel AssignedTo: kernel-maintainers@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: Nico.Laus.2001@gmx.de QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:9.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/9.0 Shutting down the system (KDE/KDM -> logout -> shutdown) reboots the system instead of shutting down. Moreover, I need to hit the power button for 5sec in the right moment after BIOS is shown, otherwise the system just boots again before asking for password. After BIOS upgrade to the newest one provided by lenovo, it goes on until the password and further (I can boot properly). But if I hit the power button too late or too short, it (re-)boots again. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. KDE -> logout -> shutdown or 2. at login screen, hit shutdown Actual Results: reboot Expected Results: shutdown, power-off please tell me which information is useful for this bug report and how to generate it -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
