I think I'll just revert this unjustified remapping of ::1 to 127.0.0.1, and we're done. The above bug also quotes rfc2553, meanwhile superseeded by rfc3493. Both RFC state that: "Note: The IPv6 unspecified address ("::") and the IPv6 loopback address ("::1") are not IPv4-compatible addresses." If understand it correctly
