https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=753709 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=753709#c0 Summary: network:telephony:asterisk-1_8: Bug - can not use encrypted signaling nor transmission Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE.org Version: unspecified Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: openSUSE 12.1 Status: NEW Severity: Major Priority: P5 - None Component: 3rd party software AssignedTo: jengelh@medozas.de ReportedBy: carlos.e.r@opensuse.org QAContact: opensuse-communityscreening@forge.provo.novell.com CC: michael.kromer@millenux.com Found By: --- Blocker: --- network:telephony:asterisk-1_8: Bug - can not use encrypted signalling nor transmission asterisk uses srtp for encryption of the signalling and transmission. But this package in openSUSE is missing, only the srtp-devel package is built, and asterisk doesn't appear to be linked statically against libsrtp.a. Debian has some patches that allow the creation of the dynamic library here: http://packages.debian.org/source/sid/srtp (file 2011 1008_shared-lib.patch in srtp_1.4.4+20100615~dfsg-1.dsc), and probably some more additions. I suppose that srtp has to be rebuilt with those patches, maybe the spec changed, and asterisk modified to request it and rebuilt.
