http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=498482 Summary: SUSE still not find driver for my Canon MP610 printer Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.2 Version: Milestone 1 Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: SuSE Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Printing AssignedTo: jsmeix@novell.com ReportedBy: matti.kukkola@gmail.com QAContact: jsmeix@novell.com Found By: --- Created an attachment (id=288394) --> (http://bugzilla.novell.com/attachment.cgi?id=288394) No driver User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux x86_64; fi-FI; rv:1.9.0.8) Gecko/2009032600 SUSE/3.0.8-1.3 Firefox/3.0.8 I can see Canon MP610 name when I add printer to openSUSE by KDE System Settings, but still SUSE doesn't find driver. With SUSE 11.1 some said me it's not bug after I reported it. But why the KDE System Settings found my printer and driver in Kubuntu 8.10 and Kubuntu 9.04 without problems? Do I have to compile kernel again because of this? mattik@linux-ew3v:~> lsusb Bus 006 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0001 Linux Foundation 1.1 root hub Bus 004 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0001 Linux Foundation 1.1 root hub Bus 005 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0001 Linux Foundation 1.1 root hub Bus 003 Device 003: ID 0461:4d16 Primax Electronics, Ltd Bus 003 Device 002: ID 076b:3021 OmniKey AG CardMan 3121 Bus 003 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0001 Linux Foundation 1.1 root hub Bus 002 Device 002: ID 04d9:1603 Holtek Semiconductor, Inc.
