On both computers, the plugin worked well with openSUSE 12.3. But since updating to openSUSE 13.1 the plugin won't start up anymore. Both computers have a webcam. But on one computer the webcam is external. When the external webcam was detached, Hangout also worked with openSUSE 13.1. But I was alone in the hangout session, so there was any video rendered on the screen (neither from my webcam or a chat partners one). So it could ether be the webcam itself or the video rendering, which crashed the plugin. Tested with Chromium and Firefox. Found a workaround: Get a 32 bit Firefox. https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all/ and use the 32 bit talk plugin instead of the 64 bit version. http://www.google.com/tools/dlpage/hangoutplugin/download.html?hl=de Tip: Run Firefox with /firefox/32bit/dir/firefox -ProfileManager -no-remote By this, you get a second Firefox instance and you don't have to close your normal 64 bit Firefox (you'll have to create a second profile in the profilemanager that comes up). -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
