https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=256148 Summary: Graphics card problem (Notebook) Product: SUSE Linux 10.1 Version: Final Platform: i686 OS/Version: SuSE Linux 10.1 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Other AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: Fabian_Knorr@gmx.de QAContact: qa@suse.de I've got a Toshiba Satellite L20 (Celeron M, 1 GB RAM) with an ATI Radeon XPRESS 200M Graphics Card (128 MB) and a standard 1024x768 display. After the installation of openSuSE 10.1, when I've configured my hardware (last configuration page) and rebooted my system, the GUI didn't work at all. The screen wasn't black but every pixel was shown in a different color, mixed randomly. Only around the mouse pointer (which wasn't shown) was a kind of rectangle (not a real one, but the colors changed at it's border so that it could have been seen). It worked when I re-installed SuSE and didnt configure the hardware, but after I opened the graphics card/screen configuration, saved and rebooted the system, the same error appeared. (The text mode which is used while booting worked) -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
