Those dependencies come from libopencv_highgui; and libopencv_contrib, libopencv_features2d, libopencv_legacy and libopencv_objdetect depend on libopencv_highgui. So half of the libraries are directly or indirectly dependent on Qt and xine. They can be split, sure. But the problem is opencv includes a single pkg-config file, which includes all the libraries in the "Libs:" field. So if it's splitted a package could require one of the "extra" libraries, that would not be available. I guess it should be asked to upstream to provide a different .pc file for each library...
